Welcome! π
Thanks so much to all of you who weighed in on the survey about "tidbits" content last week -- I really love hearing your feedback! If you haven't had a chance to reply yet, I'd still like to hear your opinions -- they help me understand what type of content you're looking for and what would be most useful for you moving forward.
No matter what platform you're spending time on these days, I hope as always that you're finding the content you need in order to stay motivated and productive in your role.
Best,
Mary (Twitter, Bluesky)

Where are you taking your community members?
One question every community should ask itself:
βWhere are we going?β
All communities are taking their members somewhere:
- a new skill
- a different mindset
- a fitness or health goal
- a business or professional goal
- a place of emotional support and acceptance
Follow the learning path
Good documentation is not only the one that is complete but the one that thinks about the 0 to 1 learning path of a developer.
It's important to give devs small wins along the way and be thoughtful about the things that may go wrong.
Documentation is key to share knowledge
Professional growth
Growth as a developer advocate is not just about technical skills. It's about cultivating a growth mindset, fostering meaningful connections, and empowering others to reach their full potential.
Success isnβt about the hustle; itβs about the strategy. Therefore, success in Developer Relations is not about doing everything but about doing the right things and measuring their impact.
