Welcome! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Have you ever had a weekend that didn't actually feel like a weekend? You know the ones... where you get to Sunday night and look around, wondering where the weekend went. If you're nodding your head, then you also understand why this week's issue is a day late ๐Ÿ˜†

Lots of great things have happened this week though! In addition to loads of great content included below, there were some exciting announcements, including this one from Orbit, who just raised a $4 million seed funding round! I'm thrilled about this for two reasons: A) Orbit is a fantastic product that has the potential to revolutionize how companies engage with their communities 2) It's a huge feather in the DevRel industry's cap as far as proving business value! Congrats to everyone involved. I'm anxious to see how this drives continued investment in DevRel and Community teams and tools in 2021.

As we're looking forward to new opportunities in 2021, don't forget about Community Manager Advancement Day on Jan 25. This year's theme is resilience, which feels particularly fitting given the difficulties we've faced in 2020. For more information about CMAD and the activities surrounding it this year, bookmark this announcement from CMX Hub.

As you're scrolling through the fantastic content below, don't miss Vanilla's 2021 Community Predictions ebook. The insights there are an important look at how our industry is growing.

Best,

p.s. I'll be taking 2 weeks off from DevRel Weekly around Christmas and New Year's, both to save your inboxes and to take a step back from some of my daily responsibilities. If you have blogposts, podcast episodes, or articles in general that you'd like to send along for me to include in our last issue of the year, be sure to do so prior to December 12!
